Frontend engineer

I'm a frontend engineer based in Aotearoa New Zealand, previously San Francisco and Taos. During the day I work at Compa. Outside of that I take on select freelance work, usually alongside designers or small agencies who need someone who can think through a build, not just execute one. I also run two reissue record labels, First & Last Records and Yoga Records, focused on rare private press music from Japan and the US.

Selected work

• First & Last Records Co-founded label reissuing lost 1970s Japanese private press records.
• Yoga Records Label for rare US private press music, founded by Douglas Mcgowan. I joined my friend to help with design and operations.
• Environments iOS app built in Swift for Numero Group. Field recordings by Irv Teibel. Featured by Apple and The New Yorker.
• Photoseed Photography archive documenting the pictorialist movement. Running since 2011, rebuilt in 2024.
• Photogravure Archive of photogravure prints, built for Mark Katzman. One of my prints is in the collection.
